Overview

A two-storey rural home in Co. Monaghan needed a full scaffold wrap so exterior and roofline trades could work safely around every elevation. The house stayed occupied during the job, with outbuildings, gates, and a narrow side route all shaping how the setup was planned.

Platforms had to reach the slate roof and gables without blocking day-to-day access, while still giving enough width and stability for tools, materials, and longer stretches of exterior work.

The Brief

Deliver multi-level working lifts around the full house, keep the household usable, and leave a layout that could be checked and adjusted as the programme moved from walls to roof. Neighbour access, soft ground at the edges of the site, and clear ladder routes between lifts were all part of the brief from day one.

What We Did

We surveyed the elevations, planned base positions clear of gates and outbuildings, then erected a full wrap with boarded platforms, handrails, and ladder access up to the roofline. Side and gable lifts were set tight enough for render and roof works while leaving a practical path around the property.

Once handed over, we kept the scaffold maintained through the active works period — periodic checks, small adjustments as trades moved around the house, and a planned dismantle once the exterior and roof stages were complete.
