Barton Street Wicklow
Street-front scaffolding · Barton Street, Co. Wicklow · Completed
Overview
A terraced house on Barton Street needed safe street-front scaffolding so exterior works could proceed above a public footpath. The elevation sits tight to the road, with neighbouring colourful terraces on either side, so the setup had to protect passers-by as well as give trades a solid working face.
Green safety netting, padded standards, and clear site presence were essential on this busy Wicklow street, while still leaving enough room for the household and neighbouring properties to function day to day.
The Brief
Erect a full-width scaffold on the front elevation with boarded platforms to first-floor and roof level, contain debris with mesh, mark uprights clearly for public awareness, and keep the layout tidy enough for a street-facing residential site. The client also needed a clear MacIndustries presence on the scaffold for contact during the works.
What We Did
We planned base positions along the footpath, erected multi-level scaffold across the pebbledash facade, and dressed the upper lifts with green safety netting. Standards at street level were fitted with high-visibility wraps, and a site banner was fixed to the scaffold so neighbours and visitors could reach the team easily.
Platforms were handed over for exterior trades, then checked and maintained while works continued above the street. When the job was finished, the wrap was dismantled cleanly and the footpath left clear again.
